Law Roach is retiring due to 'political issues' within the fashion industry

Law Roach announced through his Instagram account that he was retiring from the fashion industry with an intriguing caption addressing various issues within the fashion industry
“My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all. If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics , the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out. ❤️❤️❤️”
Although the message seems ambiguous and unrelated to any specific topic. It’s believed that it has something to do with the recent Louis Vouiton FW23 show where Zendaya made a surprise appearance. Marking the end of the Valentino Ambassador Program she went through since 2020 in which Roach was his head stylist.
It saddens us to see a legend retire and more so over “lies and false narratives”. The fashion industry is known for having many hidden secrets, but it’s even more disappointing to see such an enduring industry keeping up with the same traditions when a whole new generation of acceptance and overall generational healing is trying to get through with innovative and inclusive mindsets.
Although we’re excited to see Zendaya’s new era as a LV ambassador we too hope to see Law Roach captivating us with his iconic looks if not on her, on other celebrities such as Anya-Taylor Joy and Hunter Schafer who are also some of his other head muses. But if retiring is his final decision we respect that and let go of a golden era of fashion styling.
